2002: Fuji FinePix S602Z
Unlike the square pixels used in a conventional CCD, Fuji’s SuperCCD in the FinePix S602 Z (pictured right) uses eight-sided, honeycomb-shaped pixels which allow a higher horizontal and vertical resolution to be achieved. In this way, the 3.1 megapixel SuperCCD in the camera is claimed to produce a 6 megapixel image. The camera offers a 1.8-inch LCD screen, switchable with a second LCD in the viewfinder and 6x optical zoom lens. The pictures (below) were taken with a Finepix S602Z in 2019.
